How much of the barbell should show on a bellyring?

Asked: How much of the barbell should show on a bellyring?

This is the second time I have had it pierced and I have had it for about 6 months now. There is no sign of infection, I do sea salt soaks regularly and I can't see the ring through the skin but there is a small amount of skin between the balls on the ring. There is a lot more of the barbell showing too. Should I take it out or did it just migrate?
Any picture of healthy healed belly piercings would be nice (:
