Implanon and acne – after removal, did acne clear up?

User Asked: Implanon and acne – after removal, did acne clear up?

For those of you who have had experienced acne while on Implanon, did it finally clear up after getting it removed? If so, how long did it take to finally show improvement?
I just got mine removed 2 weeks ago and so far no improvement. Implanon caused me to have pretty bad acne (I've never had acne before my entire life, my family doesn't have it, lifestyle hasn't changed, I eat healthy, exercise regularly, and don't stress too bad), so I'm going to wait it out a few months to see if I start clearing up. If not, I might have to try using something..

That's a tragic story, I'm going to cry now. I know how that feels I love animals too much. She sounds like shes at an old age dogs last from 10-15 years usually. When dogs get old they are like old people they have problems doing anything. She will eventually die soon. It's up to you. I think it's best to put her down I mean those seizures sound horrible maybe shes being haunted by her past. It's best to let dogs not suffer. I would hate to put my dog down love them too much and don't want that day to come.

Take her to the vet.The heavy breathing and lying down could be congestive heart failure and she could go on Lasix for that. And the not wanting to go down stairs, if it is a joint problem, Rimadyl can help. She might still have lots of time left if you take her to the vet and get her some meds.

I have a difficult time believing that you got that dog at 9 years old if she's still moving around freely and without pain. Dogs almost definitely develop either a cancer of some sort, or arthritis by the time their in their mid-teens, and have passed on for one reason or another (organ failure, cancer, or even the owners recognizing the pain enough to go ahead and put them to sleep) by the time they are 22.IF this is true, you aren't paying attention to the dog. Dogs hide their pain, and if she is falling over and shaking from pain, can't go down stairs, it's in pain. The normal days I'm willing to bet are just as painful, she's just stronger about it.

Don't let an arthritic (or dysplastic, I mean, who knows what that dog is suffering from) jump off anything. You'll make it worse. Take it to the vet. Find out whatever is wrong with it, and put it to sleep.

Seizures can also be a sign of brain tumor.

Take her to yr vet first and ask their opinon. i had to put my best friend to sleep last jan. shes was 16 years old and had had a stoke. its a very upsetting thing to have to do but she was suffering. if its best for the dog then yrl have to do it becuz its not fair on them. sorry to heard yr worries. hope everything will work out ok for u x

Sadly there comes a time when the vet is the best way to go, any caring vet will advise you.
You have loved and cared for your dog for all those years. Don't let her suffer now.
if she is in distress, you must forget your own feelings.
It might be time to say goodbye.Unfortunately this is part of responsible pet ownership.
I hope it goes easy for you and your dog. Think of the good time you have had.
All the best.

This is a decision only you, with the best information you can get from your vet about what he still might be able to do for her, can possibly make.My yardstick is always when the down days outnumber the up days, coupled with whether my hound is still eating (although some have eaten right up to the last) then it's time to help them over the last hurdle. This is the best gift you can give an elderly dog who is finding life too much of a burden. But be as sure about the timing as you possibly can be, because afterwards you could find yourself questioning your judgement – much as it's never easy to be absolutely and totally certain we get it right. This is the trouble with being able to euth.

This is probably the worst part of giving your heart to a dog……… but there no need to prolong suffering.
