Tragedies Happen

The first dog in this video is my dog Teddie. I got Teddie for my 11th birthday, and he has been there for me through everything. He saved my life, and he showed me happiness. They say you only get on special dog in your life, and I believe he was that dog for me. I've never felt closer to anyone as I was to him. He went every where with me, did everything with me. He was more like my child then a pet. He was diagnosed with Congestive heart failure on April 3, 2012. We got to bring him home two days after that. He was no longer the dog I had gotten 8 years ago, he was unresponsive and could no longer walk. I would hold him and tell him how much I loved him, and he would just look at me, he's eyes were so sad. My mom told me he was fighting because he didn't want me to upset, that even though he was dying he didn't want to disappoint me. Two days after bringing him home, on april 7, 2012, He passed away. I was holding him telling him he was the best dog that anyone could have, that it was okay for him to go now, that I would be okay, and I told him how much I loved him. I watched the life leave his eyes. I still think about him everyday. The second dog in the video is my puppy Remington. I got him on May 19th, 2012 as a gift from my family. I love this little puppy, even though he is a pain in the butt. I find myself comparing him to Teddie, and sometimes I wish he wasn't mine. But at the end of the day he has helped me keep living.
