uncomfortable pressure behind belly button?

SarahN Asked: uncomfortable pressure behind belly button?

For a couple years now I'd have dull belly button pressure which moved below my belly button. However for the past 1-1 1/2 that pressure has increased. Basically unless I'm either not standing up or moving around I'm in some sort of discomfort. My mom thinks its gas, which is what I thought it was in the beginning but my gas pains usually don't last this long and my diet has been pretty healthy with organic foods and whatnot. I also know it isn't my period because a. I haven't had it in a good 2-4 months, and also because its usually a sharp pain that also leaves in a few days. My mom doesn't want to send me to the Drs because she's convince it's gas but I know I never had such discomfort with gas. Also I'm pretty regular and 18.

It sounds like tight muscles in your back to cause this problem for when the muscles are tight they can press into the nerves, as they leave the spine, going to the organs.Pressure on thenerves going around your body will cause pains in the area the nerves go to and for you that's around your belly button. Also, if you haven't had your period for that length of time the muscles can be responsible for that as well for if they press onto the nerves going to your ovary's it blocks the signals from the brain so you miss your cycleor get it messed up.To get rid of these problems you have to free up the tight muscles in your back that are pressing onto the nerves and here's how to free them up:
Back:
(do while sitting)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body.Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do.When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking ad deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Hmm, the only thing I know that will cause pressure like that is when you are pregnant…….and didn't you say you haven't had a period in 2-4 months? UHOH!
