Im sorry it took you so long but 48 is WAY too old you will be dead before your child hits college or you wont ever see grandkids grow up. I say 35 is the mark

My wife is 40 and pregnant with our first baby, she's healthy. But maybe 48 might be a little old, I guess its still possible though…

Talk to your ob about this, i've heard that women over 45 have a risky pregnancies and that there chances of having a child with down syndrome is high, but my sister in law said her mother had a baby at 46 and was healthy so i'm not sure lol, but talk to your dr only one to know what risk there is.

You have an increased likelihood of a baby with Downs Syndrome. And it won't be easy. You'll probably need a sperm donor, or IVF
