What Bleach do you Recommend I Use?
Kaylynn Howe Asked: What Bleach do you Recommend I Use?
Hello! Okay basically I have bleached my hair wayyyy too many times in order to get it to a white blond color. My natural hair color is a dark golden blond, and I have done a lot to it. I have lightened it with dye (we're talking only a few shades lighter) in the past, dyed it brown, black, dark auburn, light auburn, then hot pink, the hot pink being the last shade I have had.
My hair is very porous, and as much as I tried to fade the pink, it refused to fade, despite the fact that it is semi-permanent.
I then bleached twice (using Clairol Born Blond Maxi) and applied a pale ash blond dye. My hair was still awful—BRIGHT, dark orange with beautiful pale roots. I then tried Manic Panic's "Virgin Snow" to no avail—by using it, I had even MORE contrast: my roots were this flawless snowy white, and my length was neon orange still.
I've used purple shampoo (One N Only Shiny Silver Ultra conditioning shampoo), and bleached a third time, then used a Wella toner—which darkened my hair 1 level and made it brassy AND ashy at once (sounds impossible, I know!).
Then, I dyed with L'Oreal preference in 01. It lightened quite a bit but my hair is still a pale faint orange, yellow, etc. with a few strands of whitish hair.
Surprisingly, my hair is pretty soft and smooth considering the suffering it has gone through. It looks and feels fairly healthy, especially for what has been done to it.
As much as I really don't want to do anything else to my hair (I gave it time in between treatments anyway) for a while, I just can't stand the color anymore. Besides—I'm getting hair extensions for Christmas, and I need to color my hair and extensions to match each other.
So should I bleach again?
Thanks!
