Tetley Asked: Workout routine for my legs?

They're very twig like, have been all my life icon sad Workout routine for my legs? I'm recovering from an eating disorder, but my weight is at a healthy weight, however my legs are still twig like, so how could I gain muscle in my legs? How many reps and times a week would I have to work them out? And how? I don't have the money to go to the gym and have a proper trainer :/ Forgot to add that i'm a 18 year old female, if that makes any difference

well for my legs and buttox squats are normally the best.

get a weight ball or just fill an empty 2L milk carton with water. hold it by the handle with both hands infront and do squats this way. More calorie burning. or use a cross trainer at the gym and go backwards. icon smile Workout routine for my legs?

Start by doing bodyweight exercises like squats and lunges, 2-3 times a week and perhaps do 4-5 sets each time where each set you keep going until physical failure (i.e. keep doing squats until you physically can't do them anymore). This will build up muscle but eventually get to a point where it will just tone your legs, if you still want to keep building muscles do similar leg workouts but with extra weight than your body, 2-3 times a week, 3-4 reps and 8-10reps per set? there are many ways this is just a suggestion
